Jason Cianciotto, MPA, is the director of the public policy department at GMHC. He oversees the organization's local, state and federal advocacy to ensure that HIV-related policies are fair, effective and funded. The public policy department helps to ensure that HIV prevention, treatment, care and a cure for HIV remain urgent global, national, state and local priorities.

Prior to joining GMHC, Jason worked as an author and independent consultant specializing in applied research and policy analysis for domestic and international LGBT rights. He co-authored the new book LGBT Youth in America's Schools, published by the University of Michigan press. Jason has also worked at the national level serving as Research Director for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute, and at the state level as Executive Director of Wingspan, Southern Arizona's LGBT community center. Jason earned a B.A. in political science and a master's in public administration from the University of Arizona.
