On Lost: "The Little Prince"

The thing that made this episode -- and the season thus far -- really work is that even though there might be a certain focus on one character, there's that same feeling of a Season 1 episode.

Jin has had a pretty bad day, but he is still alive!

And the best guy to hang out with on a time slipping, mysterious, monster inhabited island is...? That's right, the hunky, wise-cracking Sawyer. Sawyer's line in last night's episode, "Time travel's a bitch!" was the best line of the season. I bet all of the viewers must have been shouting, "Amen Sawyer!" I know I did.

"The Little Prince" was a surprisingly good episode. Lately Kate-centric episodes haven't been doing much for me, because her character hasn't really had the same great development as some of the others have had as of late. I think the thing that made this episode -- and the season thus far -- really work is that even though there might be a certain focus on one character, there's that same feeling of a Season 1 episode. We've got multiple stories being intertwined and it's been put into overdrive this season.

The Island story was great yet again (JIN IS ALIVE!) and as an added bonus we are going to get Rousseau's back-story. We also now know that out of our castaways, Charlotte has spent the most time on the island with Miles and Juliet trailing right behind. Also, who are these new "Other-Others" -- new castaways or a whole new set of baddies?

The Oceanic Six seem to be coming together a lot faster than I thought they would. But hey, with only 70 hours they better. I just cant shake this feeling that all of these rifts aren't going to heal back together just yet. It seems too soon for them to all be on the same team.

There were a lot of easter eggs in this episode so I want to break them down:

The Numbers!: Sayid was unconscious for 42 hours. Kate's address was 42 Panorama St. and the slip number at the Long Beach Marina was 23.

The Little Prince: The French word written on the can that Locke kicked over was "besixdouze." 46610 Besixdouze is the name of an asteroid discovered in 1993 that served as a tribute to the story "The Little Prince." In the story, the 'Little Prince' character lived on an asteroid called B612. B-6-12 is pronounced "besixdouze" in French. Looks like the episode's title has a deeper meaning than meets the eye.

Ben's creepy ride: Ben's "Locke Transport" van had the words "Canton Rainier" on it. Those words are an anagram for "reincarnation." Are we getting clues to the fate of our beloved John Locke?

Last night gave us another great chapter in the show. What did you guys think? Like or dislike the big reveals? Post your thoughts in the comments below.
