Design-her Gals was born from the imagination of Jeanne K. Fitzmaurice –determined to design a company whose purpose and passion promoted and celebrated women while raising awareness and funding for a cause embedded in her heart –women in the final stages of breast cancer. Having already founded and sold one successful business at a young age, Jeanne envisioned creating another company both visionary in product and service. Not long after, Designhergals.com was born. “The Design-her Gals brand brings out the best in us,” Jeanne explains. “It allows women to design all the facets of their lives…from promoting a business, announcing an engagement or creating invitations to their baby shower.” Her customers are one of her biggest sources of inspiration. Jeanne chats online with over 200 women each day and draws upon them to guide the site through continuous growth and evolution. Jeanne and her team view the registered users of designhergals.com (now over 75,000 since it launched in September of 2005) are part of a family – dedicated to support and help one another and each and everyone of them demands and deserves that special “touch”. Jeanne is determined to bring awareness to and raise funding for patients in Stage 4 of breast cancer. “It occurred to me that given the proper platform – the Internet – our brand could make a significant financial contribution to the resources available to Stage 4 breast cancer patients,” Jeanne explains. Jeanne is committed to joining other women in her quest. She believes that your gal pals ARE your power and when you join hands anything is possible!
