After FDR was elected president four times, the United States decreed that no one could be elected for more than two full terms. Mayor Bloomberg took the initiative in making it possible for him to be elected a third time. One has heard of American Exceptionalism but Big Apple Exceptionalism must not be far behind, though many residents of the City are clearly unhappy at this turn.
