Precisely. Corporations have no national loyalty, and most "US" corporations have quite a bit of foreign ownership. Many are 100 percent foreign-owned, some by foreign states. Thanks the the Roberts Court, they can now legally campaign for their chosen candidates in US elections.

Yes and no. This illustration sorta points that out but also undermines it by labeling companies as being these foreign entities. That may be true in some places where the government essentially controls a company (maybe there is a Chinese Corp.) but there is few such entities here as American corporations. They can do business anywhere and employ foreigners (like those customer service centers in India, say). I think the artist isn't entirely aware of the fact that his cartoon would be more valid in the past than it is now.
