Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is holding a news conference in Gettysburg, Pa. Watch live video of the event above, via MSNBC. The AP reported...
The eventual Romney nomination is the equivalent to a sports team making the playoffs with a losing record. If he won the presidency, it would be a monumental upset.
According to their own comments, God told Santorum to run. God told Perry to run. God told Bachmann to run...but what He failed to let them know is that He wanted the Mormon to be the Rominee.

I truly feel for the child. It must be frightening and difficult for all. I wish her good medical care and a long, happy life away from her parents; when it's time to become a grown woman capable of receiving education and being interested in the whole enchilada, not just the hyper-parenting stuff she's raised on.
That being written, bon voyage, Monsieur Rick. Your winnings, sir.

She appears to be severely developmentally disabled, and there's probably extensive brain damage and physical issues as well. Kids born with Trisomy 18 almost never live to as old as she is, which is only three. If they're even carried to term, which is very problematic in itself, they frequently die in the first week because they literally don't know how to breathe--their brains just don't tell their lungs to expand. So I think we all wish her well. Very tough burden for the parents also.
However. Otherwise, good riddance! I'm just not into church in politics or third parties in my bedroom. We never needed to relive "The Scarlet Letter," so I have no problems whatsoever with Savronola going down. And hopefully really far away.

"Faith" is not the word to use when a person comes to a conclusion about something based on reason, logic, or observation. As I look out my window, the sun appears to be sinking in the west. I therefore can conclude that the earth rotates in such a way as to give that impression. It's not "faith" that drives that observation, or just about any other that I may make.

Really? I am an atheist. I don't believe anything that isn't at least the strongest logical argument. I do have strong beliefs, but since I'm willing to admit they are illogical and come only from my society, upbringing, and personal choice, I don't think that qualifies as faith since that's a logical, proven explanation for what beliefs are.

Ouch. Hmmm, the square on the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to…

P.S. My best wishes to your daughter. Hopy she improves soon.
