Obama Canvasser Punched in the Face
A woman canvassing for Obama in Wisconsin was punched in the face by a man ranting about ACORN. The woman was part of a canvassing effort organized by friends of mine. As we were about to go on stage for Oobleck Election Play 2008: The Trojan Candidate, a friend of our lighting designer who was in the same canvassing group called and told her the story.
The silver lining is that when the woman who had been assaulted returned to Chicago, there was already a voicemail message from Barack Obama expressing his sorrow that she had had to go through such an experience.
That's it. McCain supporters are dicks. The usual gang of conservative bigmouths are inciting violence with their propaganda, and the suckers who want desperately to believe are so frustrated with the lack of believability of the propaganda that they're lashing out with violence and violent rhetoric.
Meanwhile, Obama has such a great organization that he heard about this small incident and contacted the victim before the end of the day.

I'd really love to know what's going thru O's mind right now. This is something for when he wins he may need to deal with. I honestly don't think it's going to end when he gets elected. I hope this is something he will be able to address somehow w/o making it worse.

I ROLLED UP MY WINDOW, WHAT THE GUY DIDN'T KNOW OR HE WAS TO STUPID TO SEE, I GOT OUT OF MY CAR AND WHEN HE LOOKED THE ONLY THING HE SAW WAS THIS SIX FOOT FOUR 250 LB. MAN WITH A VERY MEAN LOOK ON HIS FACE. I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD A FREAKING PROBLEM WITH MY FLAG TAKE IT OFF OF MY CAR.
HIS ANSWER OH SIR I WAS ONLY KIDDING, MY REPLY IF YOU DON'T GET YOU STUPID AS---AWAY FROM MY CAR I'M GOING TO STUMP A MUD HOLE IN YOUR, YOU KNOW. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS B.S. AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE.

I just got a memo from my apartment management asking me to take down a sign I posted in my window in support of a local congressional candidate. Sigh ... folks nowadays just can't handle the truth.
John McCain has been crossing lines throughout his campaign, growing increasingly hateful and, yes, anti-American.
Each of these attempts at voter supression and intimidation should result in formal complaints to the Justice Department; Michael Mukasey and the other Bush-McCain operatives won't be there for long.
This is a new low for the McCain/ Palin supporters. How they managed that I could have never imagined, but they obviously did. Thats the right wing conservatives for you, if your not with them your against them. Kind of like some other religious extremists group I heard about. Hmmm, what were they called again? Oh' yeah, the Muslim Extremists! It just shows that we are beating them, they had to resort to violence. Lets go Obama/ Biden '08!

As an social studies teacher, I always teach my students that the greatest thing about our country is that we have the power to change our government every two years without blood shed. Looks like I will need to change my lecture from now on.

I sure feel for the lady who got punched; I hope the Obama campaign will assist this lady, in filing a criminal complaint against her assailant and make sure he gets locked up for a few months/yea

Anyone punching anyone else in the face deserves some jail time to think it all over. And those who incite hate crimes need to share the cell.

Sue the Mc/P campaign. Those jerks started all this crap and keep it fired up. I'm not for suing either, however when you keep the flames stoked, someone is going to get hurt. I just stated that on another post. It is only going to get worse. We need to email the Mc/P campaign and let them know they led to this.
Heckling of Democrats at early voting sites has been going on as well. Maybe there needs to be a strong group of Democrats at each early voting site that are there just to make sure that people aren't intimidated out of voting.

And in the meantime McCain and Palin continue whipping crowds into a frenzy of hate at every single campaign stop.. When will this all end???? Go out in groups and have camera able cell phones, or cameras for that matter with the group and take photos. This woman should press charges.
