Jeffrey Wells is the publisher/editor of Hollywood Elsewhere, an opinion-attitude site with reporting thrown in from time to time. HE is an outgrowth of a twice-weekly Hollywood column Wells has been writing online since October 1998. Th earliest incarnation was on the ABC News-owned Mr. Showbiz, then moved to Reel.com in August 1999 until August 2002, then shifted again to Kevin Smith's Movie Poop Shoot.com until launching Hollywood Elsewhere in August 2004. He wrote a weekly Hollywood column for the L.A. Times Syndicate from 1994 to 1999. Wells was regular contributor to Entertainment Weekly from 1991 to 1996, and People magazine from 1996 to 1998. He has also freelanced for the N.Y. Daily News, Rolling Stone, Men's Journal, the N.Y. Times and the Washington Post.
