Jeneé Darden is a freelance journalist in Los Angeles. She hosts a blog and news podcast called Cocoa Fly. Darden has reported for such news outlets as National Public Radio, “Marketplace Money” and Teaching Tolerance magazine. In 2005, she contributed reporting on youth unemployment in Europe and the London transit bombings for Time Europe magazine. Darden writes and reports about race, gender, pop culture and everything in between on her blog and show Cocoa Fly. The site also features her insightful article on black erotic literature called “Under the Covers: The Popularity and Debate Over Black Erotic Literature.”

Darden completed her undergraduate studies at UC San Diego. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California.
