Jenifer Fernandez Ancona is a San Francisco-based writer and activist working in the progressive movement. She is currently Communications Director at Vote Hope, a new political network in California backing candidates of hope and conscience. Prior to that, Jenifer spent two years in the California State Legislature as a top legislative aide in Santa Barbara, and seven years as a newspaper journalist, including at the Los Angeles Times. Throughout her political career, she has done grassroots organizing, event planning and press work for progressive candidates and organizations. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Dan Ancona, and their cat, Oscar.
