Jennifer Islam, the first in her family to be born and raised in the U.S., is a senior at the Academy of American Studies in New York City and is enjoying every second of it, minus the college application process. She is heavily involved in the theatre department and discovered her passion for writing last year, in her school’s playwriting program. Jennifer is also interested in math, but she's known that since the first grade. She is the editor-in-chief of her school’s literary magazine and yearbook. Jennifer likes to be referred to as Jenn, with two Ns. Never one. Ever.
