I have a problem with Mitt Romney. And it's big problem -- one that extends beyond our ideological differences. Here's what fundamentally disturbs me about Romney's character:
It's not even that he's misstated facts, if they were just truly misstatements. Part of what really bugs me is that he's carefully scripted and controlled, and still he has outright pants-on-fire lied more than any recent serious presidential contender, by a significant factor.
Added to the serial lying is not just that he's flip-flopped; everyone knows that. It's that he has flip-flopped on core issues like being pro-choice or pro-life -- deep, fundamental values issues, all for the purpose of getting elected, nothing more.
So the real question is: What does this man stand for? Why does he even want to be president? Where is his true vision, his core? Does he even have one?
Where do you fit into his picture of success?
My big concern is that Mitt Romney wants to become president for no other reason than because there's a possibility he can win. And you're not in that vision, I'm afraid.

She has high society manners.
We should all aspire to be like her.
In reading some of the comments posted, I am disappointed in so many people in this country. How unrefined their manner. How underdeveloped their mental capabilities.
She is the perfect example of what we should all aspire to be.
And she has high society manners.
All Romney has to do is the opposite of Obama's socialist agenda, and the country will be on the right track!
Have you a comment about your front runner?
The difference is that Romney knows how to govern, has demonstrated an ability to reach accross the red/ble divide, and will manage the fiscal affairs on the nation with a far greater sense of responsiblity and prudence. He will check the explosive growth of debt and reduce the size of the federal government, which is the most important of all issues in this election.
The nation cannot afford four more years of an Obama Administration.
You will notice that everyone that has worked with Romney likes him, not like John Kerry. If Romney was a dishonest as Granholm claims he would not be so well liked by those who know him. In the gotcha game of politics I will take Romney over Obama who is at his core a socialist.
Really? Like all those rousing endorsements he gets like:
Crap. Santorum's dropped out. Well, I guess Romney has my support.
Or. Tell me when he gets the delegates he needs. Then I'll back him.
Heck, even Bachmann stopped short of endorsing him on Meet The Press this week. It was something like, "Well, if he wins the nomination, certainly we'll all rally around him.
Romney definitely has the "anyone but Obama" vote wrapped up. Not sure he'll get anyone else.
It is further an know fact here in Mass, that after assuring Jane Swift that he woudl not seek the Governorship, he reneged without even a courtesy call to let her know, He has a long standing history of lying and stepping on all who get in his was. Obama is very well liked; even Romney calls him a nice guy. Only in far Rightwing troll land is Obama hated, and the reason is largely due to the fact that he is not the “preferred shade” of candidate. (Herman Cain notwithstanding, he was never taken seriously by the right and would never have gotten the nomination if he had been, because that would have killed the Deep South turnout). That Socialist claim is nonsense. In what way is Obama socialist? He is a centrist, which is why he did not push s government controlled Medicare for all plan, which I wish he would have.
BARACK OBAMA’S EARLY PASSION FOR FAIRNESS:

Give me a hollow success over a compassionate failure.
Let's check on how our sweet little Obama is doing, shall we?
"Thousands of shovel ready jobs..." - Well, not exactly "jobs", but lots to shovel.
"My health care plan will not a one dime to the debt." - Maybe a trillion dollars, but not a "dime".
"The planet will heal itself." - Ok, that's just a joke.
"This summer of recovery will see Americans working again." - I must have missed that summer.
"My budget makes tough choices." - ...and not ONE Democrat voted for it. Too tough?
"I will rebuild America's international reputation." - Maybe when he has more "flexibility"?
"Ryan's budget will destroy Medicare for seniors." - Yet, it spends more than Obama's. That's odd.
"The wealthy need to pay their fair share to help pay our debt." - ONE DAY of debt per year? Ok...
It goes on and on, folks.
We need a president with a solid plan. Romney has one. Obama doesn't. Simple.
