Jesse Elliott grew up in the Midwest, studied politics and Spanish at the University of Iowa, lived and worked in Mexico and Europe and as an economics journalist and international law writer, then proceeded to throw away all of that good hard decent effort and upbringing by becoming the frontman of a rock and roll band called These United States.
