Beyoncé to Run the World With Mrs. Carter Show World Tour

Posted: 02/13/2013 12:31 pm

It's already been quite the year for Beyoncé. Returning to the spotlight after taking most of 2012 off to raise daughter Blue Ivy, she immediately made front-page news when she was accused of lip-synching the National Anthem at President Barack Obama's inauguration. While she did admit to singing along to a pre-recorded backing track, she silenced any doubters by wowing an audience of over 100 million with her Super Bowl set, which included a brief reunion with Destiny's Child. Many are calling it the best Super Bowl halftime show ever. (Have a look at this cool Super Bowl ticket price overview.) Throw into the mix her HBO documentary, her 17th Grammy, the just-announced Mrs. Carter tour and 2013 is turning out to be a big year for B.

Based on current prices, and pending further dates, it could easily be the highest grossing tour of 2013. After 25 European dates, including London's The 02 Arena, Milan's Mediolanum Forum and Munich's Olympiahalle, Mrs. Carter kicks off North America on June 28th as part of the BET Experience Event at Los Angeles' Staples Center. Beyoncé tickets on TiqIQ for the show are currently selling for a get-in price of $199 and an average price of $670.

Beyoncé has so far scheduled to perform 25 North American shows, including the 19th annual Essence Festival at New Orleans' Louisiana Superdome between July 4th-7th as well as two concerts at Washington's Verizon Center on July 29th and 30th.

Here's a breakdown of some data:

• Get-in prices range from $90 to $260
• Overall tour average of $575.
• Cheapest Get In: July 9th at Sunrise's BB&T Center: $94
• Highest Get in: August 3rd at Brooklyn's Barclays Center: $292.
• Lowest Avg: July 22nd at Montreal's Centre Bell: $237
• Highest Avg: August 3rd at Brooklyn's Barclays Center: $983.

Beyonce Tickets

To put this in perspective, the average price of $575 is $205 higher than Jay-Z's eight recent shows at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Judging by her recent performance at the Mercedez-Benz Superdome, fans with Beyoncé will get their money's worth. Having performed Destiny's Child material on all three of her previous tours, rumors are already circulating that she may team up with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams once again for various dates. Of course, there is always the possibility that Jay-Z may make an appearance, but as the above image illustrates, the biggest draw in the Carter family is Mrs., not Mr.
