Jie Chen is Senior Statistician at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She received her B.S. in Geophysics from Beijing University and her Ph.D. in Statistics from University of Connecticut. She is the author or coauthor of several book chapters on Scan Statistics and Sequential Methodologies and her articles have appeared in many scholarly journals, including Statistics and Probability Letters, the Journal of Gerontological Nursing, the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Addictive Behaviors.
