'Damn You Autocorrect': Funniest iPhone Autocorrect Mistakes (PHOTOS)

While the autocorrect function on our smart phones can be a blessing, it's also often a curse. Autocorrect has a mind - often a dirty mind - of its own. If you hit "send" too quickly, it can lead to some entertaining results. The website and book "Damn You, Autocorrect!" is dedicated to the moments when the supposedly helpful feature goes horribly - and hilariously - wrong. Here are a few of its best submissions yet.

I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me! OMG! And I always follow up with Darn spell-check!! LOL.. Thing is half the time I didn't catch it until the text had already been sent...
And yes, it is real and it does happen!! LOL A lot of times I'll take my messed up little phrase and post it on FB and my friends get the biggest kick out of it! ...

I know a widow of the late Nigerian Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha. She wishes for you to become very rich by letting her use your bank account to transfer millions of dollars from The Democratic Republic of Congo. She knows Mike Dube, the son of Dr. Moses Dube, one of the great farmers of Zimbabwe who is the nephew of Yuvraj Kailash a native of Nepal and attorney to the late king of Nepal who died as a result of loss in temper caused by an argument between him and his family, as they were against him marrying his fiancée.


People are so gullible. 99% of all these "auto corrects" are fake.

On Windows it is even worse!

A few years ago I send an e-mail to my colleagues to invite them for cake in my room because I had turned 35 (a Dutch habbit to do so). The autocorrect signed with ' Antieke' instead of my name ' Annieke'.

' Antieke' in Dutch means ' antiquated' ... just imagine the mails I got in return from my colleagues!

I think the reactions to the corrections are more funny in some cases. Or the subsequent attempt to correct the autocorrection. :)

Some things never change! On the "prehistoric" computers we had spellcheck, which was a problem. I worked for a public utility company and the "l" key stuck. Sadly, an "l" out of public passes spell check. I used to dread missing them in the eyeball phase. If that were to happen on iPhones, things would really get ugly!!!! Never laughed so hard! Thanks for the hysteria!

I was uploading a finished video project for my boss to review and in the body of he email I meant to write: "I've uploaded the above named videos to our server for your review" except it substituted the "m" in "named" to a "k"

These phones have Tourettes. You'd think for some words it wouldn't presume to even guess.
