Jim Ylisela is a longtime Chicago journalist and teacher. He has written for both the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune, and has been a contributing writer to Chicago Magazine for 20 years. He also has produced three documentaries for public television and served as consulting editor at The Chicago Reporter, an investigative monthly, for 10 years. Ylisela taught journalism in the graduate school at Northwestern University's Medill School for 13 years. He currently serves as president of Ragan Consulting, helping businesses, nonprofits and government organizations communicate more effectively.
