Jina Krause-Vilmar manages the Women's Refugee Commission's Livelihoods Initiative as their Senior Program Officer. She is responsible for research and developing guidelines on effective and safe economic programs for displaced women. In this capacity, she conducts field assessments in conflict-affected areas, develops tools and guidance for donors, implementers, and policy-makers, and advocates to key decision-makers.

Prior to joining the Women's Refugee Commission, Jina was Director of International Programs at the Near East Foundation, where she supervised six country offices in the Middle East and Africa, primarily focusing on urban poverty, food security, gender equality, and civil society development. She has also served as project manager at Chemonics International, where she managed a $16 million Aceh Technical Assistance Recovery (A-TARP) project and as a short-term Technical Advisor to the International Rescue Committee’s Resettlement Department. She has conducted various short-term assignments in Ethiopia, Morocco, Jordan, the West Bank, Egypt, Sudan, Mongolia, and the Philippines.

Jina earned her MSc in Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
