We are seeking an Account Executive who will be focused on developing sales opportunities for Huffington Post specific to the assigned geographic region. The Huff Post AE will report to the Regional Sales Director and will work closely with the RSD to respond to client RFPs and provide account management. Key responsibilities include developing compelling marketing solutions and providing top-notch customer service to clients. Will function as the Huffington Post product expert within the region.
The Huff Post Account Executive will develop key relationships with AOL AEs, ADs, AM’s and internal Advertising sales contacts and work with Huffington Post Media Group, Sales, and Product Marketing Managers to manage sales communications regarding product and sales operations issues and opportunities. This position requires strong presentation skills and will have some direct client or agency interaction as appropriate. This position will also be responsible for market competitive information and day to day servicing of existing accounts. He/she must be able to provide strong customer support and will be a key part of sales team decisions.
The Huff Post Account Executives will also work with various internal partners including sales product management, marketing, editorial, and technology to help drive product strategy, monetization plans, and be the advocate for advertising clients internally.
You must have:
•A minimum 4 years experience in digital media sales or marketing.

Purpose of role
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or student seeking an industrial placement, to work within the busy commercial department of the Huffington Post Media Group, covering Huffington Post UK and AOL sites in UK, France and Germany.
The successful candidate will gain a deep insight into the licensing & commissioning of content for our editorial teams. They shall have day-to-day responsibility for contracting AOL UK’s editorial Contributors & Freelancers; as well as with Photo Agencies; encompassing new contract negotiations; amendments & renewals; development projects to automate delivery, and evaluations to assess the impact of Tablet & Mobile usage.
You will negotiate contributor contracts, develop AOL’s contract framework, ensuring it is fit for purpose; provide reporting to the business on contract performance, and provide support and guidance to a dynamic media team.
The successful candidate shall also be involved in other major deals, being progressed by the Business Development team, at the time of their internship.

The Huffington Post has 50 million monthly unique visitors (comScore November, 2012) posting more than 8 million comments each month. The site has more than 40,000 bloggers -- from politicians, students and celebrities to academics, parents and policy experts -- who contribute in real-time on the subjects they are most passionate about. The Huffington Post has editions in the UK, Canada, Quebec, France, Spain, and Italy with Japan and more scheduled to launch in the coming months.
The Team
The Huffington Post Operations team manages the day-to-day and long-term initiatives related to advertising inventory monetization and campaign operations, content publishing and native advertising products, consumer and audience research and analytics, and executive business metrics and reporting. This team reports to the CEO of The Huffington Post, Jimmy Maymann, and is tasked with driving critical business initiatives for revenue growth.
The Role:
In this high-impact role, you’ll report to the Vice President, Operations of The Huffington Post Media Group. You will use your well-honed business, operational and technical acumen to act as a thought leader and project manager driving critical cross-functional advertising operations initiatives and interfacing with our internal Edit, Technology, Legal and Sales and Marketing teams.

Purpose of role & Accountabilities
Working within the Branded Content and Creative Solutions team this is a varied role, developing and designing engaging ad formats and creative executions for a wide range of advertisers across the AOL and Huffington Post sites.
Day to day job tasks will include designing and building custom rich media ads and bespoke sponsorship creative as well helping the team brainstorm concepts and mock up ideas.
Experience across Adobe Creative suite including Flash AS3 is essential as well as front-end coding, languages and principles.
The ideal candidate will have a very good level of experience in an agency environment and hold a degree in a relevant subject.
They must be able to demonstrate a strong eye for creative, and conceptualization, as well as discipline in terms or working to a deadline and accurately reflecting brand guidelines. Ideally we need someone with a creative flair but also aren’t scared to get mucky in a bit of coding!
