Giddy Madonna

There was Titian, unable to resist,
smack dab in the renaissance of a middle-aged tryst,
digging in, diving deep,
plugging away to completion.

She was a sweet, hot breath
of henna-colored hair.
Her explicit little tits,
in the damp night air,

seemed to float like dreams
with double meanings--
while Tiziano Vecellio,
too preoccupied to notice,

continued squeezing the cheap
from his giddy madonna,
the end of an era weighing
hard upon them both.
