In a Sunday interview on Fox News, after deliberately referring to presidential candidate Barack Obama as "Osama," contributor Liz Trotta joked that both Osama Bin Laden and Barack Obama should be "knocked off" "if we could."
While there is some debate as to the intent of Hillary Clinton's comments on Robert F. Kennedy's assassination in June (I tend to give her the benefit of the doubt, though it was clearly a terrible and unfortunate allusion), no such ambiguity accompanies Trotta's statement.
You simply do not joke about the assassination of a United States Senator and probable Democratic presidential nominee. You also do not deliberately identify him with a terrorist who killed thousands of innocent Americans.
Liz Trotta must be fired immediately and held accountable for her despicable remarks. Here is the contact information for Fox News:

I don't have a television but am I correct that Fox News is on cable only? If it's not broadcast over the airwaves, it's not subject to FCC obscenity rules.

A pity that this sort of approach seems to be more and more prevalent, but it would be nice to judge for myself: the video link (YouTube) is now unavailable. Is there another site which has this?

The person's 15 minutes of fame will define her a turd.
good work, joe!!
I found the following on another blog on Huffington Post. I just emailed both of the dudes below. I don't know how effective an appeal to them will be but maybe if they get a lot of angry letters they will do something. Thanks.

Thanks for this info. I just sent a couple of emails! I wrote about their goals of having a good national reputation, and how I thought that identifying their brand name with such vitriol was not in their best interests.
This is the reason why Hillary's comment (gaffe) was so offensive. God only knows how many other people are thinking like this evil woman.
WHAT THE HELL?
That may be the single most f'd up thing I've ever heard a member of the media say.
This is terribly wrong.
Hey Joe, I mostly agree -- except when did Osama "kill millions of innocent Americans"? The Bush Administration claims he was behind 9/11, but there's a lot of compelling evidence he had nothing to do with it. Even if he did, that was only around 3,000 innocent Americans killed. Where do you get the other 2,997,000?
Already fixed it. I meant to say thousands.
Uuuugghhh! That was so out of line. I was understanding when Senator Clinton stated her remarks because I feel that we are at times to eager to jump on gaffes, however this comment was ridiculous.
