Why is Bill Clinton Having His "Birthday Party" 10 Days Before the Election?

I'm all for Bill raising money for his foundation - they do good work. But why would he choose to have a 3-day blowout birthday bash 10 days before the election(his real birthday is actually in August)? Why not wait until after the election. Bill knows that whatever he does is going to get a ridiculous amount of coverage by the MSM. Just look at all the coverage he got for his Clinton Global Initiative conference. Imagine if the media spent as much time covering the Iraq war as they did Rupert Murdoch sitting on a stage with Bill Clinton. Why deflect all that attention onto yourself when we should be focusing all of our energy taking over the majority in Congress?
