Talking with Chris Matthews down in Memphis on Friday at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, Ken Mehlman became the latest mouth piece for the administration (check out Sean Hannity's lovefest with Joe) to praise Lieberman. If you can take listening to him recite his usual soliloquy -- then at about the 1:40 mark of this video you can hear the GOP "Gigantor" of talking points say:
Matthews: Karl Rove, who is the president's deputy chief of staff and his political adviser, has said there's a pre-9-11 thinking among Democrats. They don't get what you just said. Is that what you believe? Democrats don't get the world you described.
Mehlman: I think Joe Lieberman does. I think a lot of the Democratic leaders don't.
Has anyone ever heard Ken Mehlman lovingly talk about another Democrat before? It says a lot wouldn't you agree?
