The Definition of Marriage

Marriage changes, and so does language. What never seems to change is the right wing's propensity for circular arguments.

Last week, Bishop Salvatore Cordileone was installed as the Roman Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco. Cordileone, an architect of Prop. 8 and one of the church's most outspoken opponents of gay rights, recently told the National Catholic Register:

If we don't save marriage, things will get very dark. The idea that you can change the definition of marriage is a lie.
