John Nevins is a librarian and author of the World Fantasy Award-nominated Encyclopedia of Fantastic Victoriana and the Pulp Holdings Index, an extensive catalog of pulp magazines in American, Canadian, British, and European libraries. Nevins is well-known for his extensive comic book annotations of works like Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and describes himself in part as a "bibliophile and pop culture scholar of the 21st century." His latest book, Encyclopedia of Pulp Heroes, is due out in 2013.
