Director of United Health System, a progressive non-profit health policy think-tank in St. Paul. Health system researcher for 10+ years.

I served as an appointed member of the Minnesota legislature's Single-Payer Working Group in 2007 and was lead author of its Final Report. I advocate a single-payer/universal system. I testify frequently at the legislature, speak to groups, write, and provide analysis and research for various parties. I was a volunteer, outside health policy advisor to (former) state senator Becky Lourey's (DFL) gubernatorial campaign in 2006. I worked in banking and finance for 11 years.
