McCain's Senate Voting Record

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

David Nather filed an objection today in Beyond the Dome, CQ to Barack Obama supporters' citing CQ data on John McCain's voting last year with Bush 95 percent of the time.

Reason: McCain was absent for 66 percent of the Senate votes last year. Who knows how much of a maverick he might have been with his vote if he had voted?

Sorry 'bout that.

So how's this? - "McCain showed up for one-third of the votes last year. When he showed up, McCain voted with Bush 95 percent of the time."

Does that work for you, David?

Good catch John....McCain has sold his soul to Bush to be elected President,,,

Big mistake,

It would have been better if he had stayed the old independent McCain of yesteryear.

I like the number - voting against Bush in 1.7 of votes - "less than 2 percent".

Shouldn't it be, "McCain showed up for 34 percent of the votes last year"?

And how's this alternative instead?

"McCain voted against Bush in 1.7 percent of the votes last year." (.05 x .34 = .017)
