Jon Cruddas is the Labour Member of Parliament for Dagenham in east London, Great Britain. He is a leading member of the centre-left "Compass" group and is a former adviser to Prime Minister Tony Blair.
On 4 June this year, Britain elected two members of the far-right British National Party (BNP) to the European elections -- the first time fascists have been elected to such posts.
