Right now, there are tens of thousands of open missing persons cases nationwide. Many are adults, who go missing for any variety of reasons. Some are lucky enough to be spotlighted in the media. Many are not. But behind every missing person's case -- is a mother like Linda Kricfalusi.
Linda was lucky enough to get actress Pauley Perrette to help her bring awareness to the case of her daughter. When I spoke to Linda recently she told me, "Jon, the not knowing is the worst. Please help us. Please do whatever you can to bring awareness to my daughter's case nationwide."
Thirty-six-year-old Lacey Brooks of Aneheim, Calif., went missing on Nov. 29, 2012. She vanished without a trace -- only leaving a short note behind: "Went for a walk. Please let mom know. I'm not going to the appt today." The appointment she referenced in the note was an appointment her mother had made for her to visit a psychiatrist.
She hasn't been seen since she left that note. While police don't suspect foul play, her family believes something is wrong. Lacey left without her phone or her wallet. And, she left without her best friend in the entire world -- her dog. When you click on the link below, you will see Lacey's mother's pain firsthand.
Lacey's parents have set up a toll-free number, 888-511-9898, for tips and information. And, please -- if you want to see your loved one's case profiled -- just let us know. We can't let any case go cold!
