Six Ways McCain Could Still Win

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

Six ways McCain could still win:

6. Thirty million young, first-time voters oversleep, forget to go to polls on Nov. 4.

5. Sarah Palin reveals secret past as Rhodes Scholar; admits "hockey mom" thing was just a ruse -- to avoid being called an "elitist."

4. Economic collapse ends, Dow hits new high. Mortage lenders that foreclosed on new homeowners say "never mind."

3. Al Qaeda throws in the towel, Osama turns himself in at the gates of Gitmo -- Bush declares "Mission Accomplished."

2. Jesus appears in Washington, D.C., urges Americans to vote the McCain-Palin ticket.

. . . and the number one way McCain could still win:

Supreme Court in 5-4 ruling declares McCain president.

It is very unlikely that it will be miscounted as long as the voter rights are being upheld by both Dems and republicans. The constitution should prevail in the end as long as it is held at its worth by,"We The People". We should never throw in the towel so easy when the Americans before us have fought so hard to up hold our rights.

another scenario: McCain dumps Palin, resurrects Ronald Reagan to be his running mate

He can't win.......Reasons: (1) He belongs to the same party as George Bush......and (2) The mainstream media wants Obama.

I just had dinner and your #1 almost made me barf. Too close to the heart - and with all the possible/likely voter fraud NOT unlikely to happen.

Well, 2 ain't gonna happen. As is often said, Jesus was a socialist.

Based on the past two elections, our nations rather sad voter turn-out, racism, and the willingness of people to vote on personality and sound bites rather than the issues, I'm expecting the worst.
I've already voted, and continue to volunteer my time and part of my meager paycheck to Obama, and hope that my friends are right when they call me a pessimist.

Went to Democratic meeting last night (in Florida) and they told us that McCain gave his signs away while you had to pay (usually $3) for an Obama sign. That might cause some people not to have a sign out in their yard. We bought some and resold at our booth in a local flea market (no profit) and I gave a few away to older people that could not afford them. We do have to help others in all areas of our lives.

They're workin' on it......as we speak.
Let's all vote early, shall we?

I take NOTHING for granted!!! When you lose faith in the honesty of your country's voting process, it takes a long time to regain it. The last two elections have left me totally unable to believe. Perhaps we should have what third world countries have, International Observers.

99% of my friends and family are voting for or have already voted for Obama, let's hope the rest of the country votes at least 65% for him, that way there is no question.

Why have you lost faith in your countries votting process? You have one vote and it counts as your one vote to make a difference in America no matter who you vote for!

I wish I had Joe Weiner's optimism. Where I live in a supposedly safe liberal state there's not an Obama sign in sight on a lawn or bumper sticker, but there are plenty for McCain. All I hear on npr is what McCain and Palin are doing. Most people I know are supporting the Republicans. I don't understand the polls, or the media coverage which claims Obama is somehow ahead. From here, he's not.

You probably live in a conservative part of the state. Agreed, the NPR coverage of McCain and Palin seems blithely uncritical. Still, this is a big country and the polls all seem to be in agreement,

Geez, this almost sounds like where I live in NY. But as the election comes closer, I'm happy to report I'm seeing more & more Obama signs. I hope it's that we live in the conservative parts of our states.

I live in the Land of Arch Conservatives, otherwise known as South Orange County in California (not to be confused with the OC which doesn't really exist either), where Bush/Cheney were as numerous as fleas on a hound dog, these days I'm seeing Obama/Biden stickers on luxury cars, pickups and SUV's where the old Bush/Cheney stickers were four years ago. I don't put stickers on my vehicles because it just brings to mind all the shallow ways to proclaim one's beliefs.

Exactly what I was thinking this morning driving to work. I am in OC too. Four years ago it was mostly all Bush Cheney

I live in Texas, and we are Obama yard-signed and bumper-stickered to the max. If you went by what you saw on the street, you'd believe Obama was winning here. Instead, this appears to be one of the few states where he is not winning.

I believe this will be an Obama landslide.

Don't worry, in politics MONEY TALKS, and Obama's campaign has plenty and plenty and plenty
