Starting today, the Huffington Post will display ads for the first time. We have tweaked the design, improved the user interface and navigation, and responded to suggestions from readers. Here is an update on the changes:
Design
By popular request, we have added a global navigation bar, a more dynamic front page layout, and an index listing all our contributors. We will also deliver more news and content by supplementing our hand picked headlines with front page links to the newest blog posts as they come in and to the top AP wire stories 24/7. These are just a few of the improvements, so browse the site tomorrow to see everything ("top news" sidebar, "contact us" page, IM posts to a friend, etc.). Thanks to Link + McCambley for all their help.
Advertising
We are testing our platform with ads from advertising networks but in the near future we will partner directly with select sponsors.
That is all for now. Our team is already working on some exciting new initiatives which I will tell you about in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to comment with reactions and suggestions.
