We are trying to "clean up the mess" our federal government has made. States like AZ have to pass laws that reflect federal laws just so they can enforce them themselves because the federal government won't. The other 49 states need to pass similar laws and start ENFORCING the law so that we can get rid of all ILLEGAL ALIENS. The laws should also include HEAVY fines and loss of business licenses for those who hire ILLEGAL ALIENS. CITIZENS and LEGAL immigrants need these jobs and could use the BILLIONS of dollars we are currently spending on ILLEGAL ALIENS.

A pinata-whacker in a military police hat and South Western accent started ranting against immigrants in an airport recently. As he glowered at me, I said there was such a thing as Christian compassion - and that Native Americans may not consider any of us legal. He stormed off... then came back. I thought uh-oh. But he thanked me for the new perspective. Said he is a lay preacher and half Cherokee... brought his wife over and we waited for our delayed plane together. Challenge... how to remind the tea bag danglers in your cartoon that most of Euro-Americans come from immigrants who weren't asked for papers... just checked quickly, if at all, for a TB cough or the pox.

"Checked quickly" LOL - ILLEGAL ALIENS are breaking our laws. My ancestors weren't breaking any laws when they came here LEGALLY! The Native Americans didn't have immigration laws so once again no laws were broken. Your "new perspective" has many holes in it. No matter how you look at it ILLEGAL ALIENS from countries all over the world are coming here ILLEGALLY and sucking our systems dry. They are also costing us BILLIONS of dollars. ILLEGAL ALIENS no matter where they come from, what language they speak, what color they are, or who they are related to need to go back to their own countries!
Regrettably, your perspective has a few holes in it as well. Treaties with many Indian tribes, which have the force of law, have been broken by the US government so routinely that the head spins, when such treaties became inconvenient.
