Democracy is like complexity, you never know exactly which way it's going to go. Unless of course you have corporations buying elections.

The problem with democracy is... it involves tolerating views and outcomes we might not necessarily agree with. Hegemony, by nature, goes against that very concept.

Brief and to the point. The fewer people to pay off could be interpreted as being easier and requiring less though, moral integrity, and love.
