Josh Bivens joined the Economic Policy Institute in 2002. His areas of research concern macroeconomics and the impact of globalization on the U.S. and developing economies. He has previously worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Roosevelt University in Chicago and as an economist at the Congressional Research Service in Washington, DC. His writing has appeared in The American Prospect, Challenge Magazine, and Worth, as well as in academic journals including the International Review of Applied Economics and the Journal of Economic Issues. Josh holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the New School for Social Research and a B.A. Economics from University of Maryland at College Park.
