It's 3 A.M and a there's a phone ringing in the White House. Somebody, of course, will have to answer that phone. Somebody with sound judgment and unwavering courage. One thing is certain: it won't be you. You're too busy -- too busy making crazy hot love to a partner with bone structure so perfect it's destined to make even A-list movie stars envious. How'd you get so lucky? Simple. It's because you're a Democrat.
Now there's a straightforward campaign message we can all get behind -- and the one at the center of Blue Balled, the premiere film from TruthThroughAction.org -- a new political organization founded by independent filmmakers in New York. By bringing the Indie community and political activists together, we're creating edgy short films and online videos that support the Democratic Party. They're being distributed for free on video sharing websites like Youtube.com.
Our goal is simple -- engage young voters in an innovative and cost effective way, providing them with the sort of entertaining content that reminds them that being Democrat is "cool," the sort, perhaps most importantly, that they are willing to spread virally online. By supplementing the message coming directly from the party and campaigns, we're making sure we use every available method, and every new technology, to win back the White House this November -- and keep it. Through Election Day, we're planning on producing more than a dozen films in all genres, each with a bit of an edge and clever hook.
This past Thursday, over six hundred people joined us in Manhattan to screen Blue Balled, enjoy "Political Monogamy," an accompanying photo exhibit by Reka Nyari, and contribute so we can continue making progressive films and videos. Check out the film below, forward it to friends and visit our website today to get involved.

The video...Funny, clever, and at the same time pretty stupid...
Apparently people of different ideologies aren't supposed to mix? Good thinking, very progressive. Might as well be racist.
It's one website with an obvious target demographic. The video is not trying to make a deep philosophical point, but to entertain and get their target demographic thinking about politics.
Certainly it's nothing resembling racism. The whole problem with racism and sexism are that they discriminate against things people have no control over. Anyone can no better than to support the republican party as it currently stands.
I'm not impressed, but I beg to differ with your point. It's not about "mixing," it's about pairing with someone who shares the same political ideology. Very important....especially for those who are politically oriented.
I don't know about anyone else, but I would find it very hard indeed to be married to a Republican. I just couldn't. We'd have to tiptoe over so many subjects.
You sound very enlightened, K-Dog76. So people of "different ideologies" should "mix", and if they don't, that is equivalent to being "racist"?
Funny how some people can equate serious ideological differences (like those that allow preemptive wars, "shock and awe", political kidnappings, rule by propaganda, and all the other things we used to call "Fascism" when it was engaged in by foreigners) as being of the same relative importance as their choice of favorite football team or flavor of ice cream.
Sorry, K-Dog76, but women who refuse to sleep with Republicans aren't racist, just smart.
Hmmmmmm. I think this one is going to backfire. Is it possible that some will use this to show how McCain helped 2 young people to not make a stupid choice while under the influence of alcohol. This is a great ad for the hip n happenin' club scene folk, but for those working class and poor Americans who can't afford to go out anymore, I'm afraid this ad is going to be the turd in the punchbowl.
Please make it stop. I don't need the Democrats to be cool - just competent. That would be a refreshing change of pace at this point.
Here's my take

The prettiest women go to Obama rallies. This is a known fact.
Look at that McCain Girls video for crying out loud....yuck
Dudes, if you go to an Obama rally, don't bring sand to the beach.. trust me !!
I used to love getting drunk in a bar and talking politics with hot chicks. It never gets me laid though, even if we have the same political views. Sad, but true. Now, maybe if I talked about my bank account more or professional sports...
But oddly enough, my current girlfriend I met at a party and we struck up a conversation about Barack Obama and had a blast. Got her number. Called her the next day. Setup date for next week. Boom, we're together. Not too shabby. Should have known though - she's in Canada until August 12th, 600 miles away, and prior to that a month ago she was in France for 2 weeks. Darn liberal world-traveler chicks! Darn them to HECK!
I didn't realise that this blog is your personal diary.
How McSame can ruin my sex life? Just check out the "Political Views of the Playboy Bunnies" article. Now that's some scary sh*te.
hilarious!!!!
McCain can ruin my sex life? Ha! Like to see you ruin what you can't find, John-boy.
This is reminiscent of the poster from the late sixties or early seventies with the slogan "Girls Say Yes to Boys Who Say No." The poster featured Joan Baez and her sisters. See the poster at http://www.stolaf.edu/courses/ws399/ws399_03/Projects/dabneyproject/figures-images.html. There was also a song by a group called "Girls Say Yes", entitled "To Boys Who Say No", which reproduced the imagery from the original poster. The group's album, released sometime in 2001 (I think), can be found at http://cdbaby.com/cd/girlssayyes.
Not sure making women "prizes" for the right political choice is a good thing, but the clip is still pretty entertaining.
Oh, yes it is. These are not the same women who voted for Hillary BTW.
Politics have absolutely nothing to do with getting laid and have everything to do with getting skrewed!
Life doesn't get more fictional than this short. This short is almost science fiction, actually. I have several male friends who are young, wealthy, very good looking and republican. Trust me - these guys have never been at a loss for poon-tang. And never just ordinary poon-tang, but hot, hot poon-tang. Now if the girl in your short had been a hippie chick with a conscience you might've had a point.
If this is your inaugural shot across the political mainstream's bow, I fear your productions are in big trouble. I also have to agree with a previous poster and say that I've seen this joke once before on Larry David's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'. The only difference there was that Larry, as writer, understood that the hot chick in the scenario was a Republican and the geek, himself, was a Democrat. You guys have turned this premise on its head until it doesn't make sense. He also made the entirety of the joke happen in about 20 seconds, making it a gut punch and not a 13 round exercise.
I give you an A+ for the look of the film. C- for length. D- for originality. What seemed to be missing here was an actual writer.
Poontang?
POONTANG?
Jesus...
Yeah, and apparently the guy thinks he's a filmmaker too. Bleh.
Funny!
This short was lifted from a Curb Your Entusiasim episode. When Sheryl let David try to get laid for his birthday. He was on the verge of getting laid by an actress that was starring with him in the play, The Producers. He was just about ready to get some when he noticed a photo of George Bush in the room and then he couldn't go on with it because she was a Bush supporter.
And i remember his agent saying in response:
"You couldnt do it because shes a Bush Supporter? Who gives a flying f....!!!"
Hehehe
Um. I think "Looking For Mr. Goodbar" was better.
it could be shorter yes but its a short FILM.... its meant to inject pauses otherwise it would be a commercial...right???
but over all i say..
bwahahahahahahahahaha!!! effing funny. anyone who reads into this anymore than what it is on the surface (its humor) is just nit picking at nothing ... NOTHING.
so have a good laugh and get on with your day.
Well i slept with republicans and democrats.
That ad is making a stupid point.
Sex is not about politics.
Tell that to Vitters or Wide Stance.
Good one.
But anyway:
This ad is so bad because its so self serving.
Its only for those who already know theyre going to vote democrat.
And they still fail at this simple task because the republican guy is portrayed as a kind of quirky neurotic but lovable guy whereas the girl comes across as an arrogant irrational hysteric "have sex on the first date" person (also labeled whore by some).
