I almost forgot to whip out this trick before summer was over.
It's a great way to tear through a case of cherry tomatoes should the need arise. Or any similarly shaped produce for that matter, such as grapes, olives, jellybeans, etc.

Slow-Roasted Cherry Tomatoes: A Simple Summer Appetizer
I told my hubby we should use the processor but he said noooooo, it's not how you do it we've got to use the hand-cranky-thinga-ma-jig or the tomato sauce police will arrest us! Meh! :D
Anyway, we had some huge Cherokee Purple tomatoes for BLT's the rest went for sauce. :)

OTOH, for tomatoes, olives and grapes, I bet it works wonderfully. Thanks for the tip!
Some of those "cherries" are sun driers instead in the photo. :-)
How about: Coat good cherry tomatoes (organically garden grown Sungolds are the best), cut up baby asparagus, whole mushrooms, and quartered red baby potatoes in olive oil, garlic and rosemary and roast them at 400 degrees until the tomatoes are all soft and gooey. Serve on the side of a thick medium rare steak with a craft-brewed beer or a hearty red wine. It'll change your life.
That's a trick.
