Joss Garman has been described as “one of the fifty people who could save the planet” by The Guardian, and as a “champion” of the green movement by The Sunday Times.

Since May 2007, he has worked for the climate campaign of Greenpeace UK where he works on the team advocating for clean energy and leading opposition to new coal-fired power stations in Britain.

A founder of Plane Stupid, the national direct action campaign opposing airport expansion, he was described as “one of the 100 most powerful men in Britain” by GQ magazine and listed amongst the “1000 most influential people in London” by the Evening Standard.

Regularly interviewed for television and radio, he has been a monthly columnist for The Ecologist and his articles have also been published by The Observer, The Times, The Guardian, The Independent and New Statesman. He blogs frequently for the UK's leading left of centre blog, Left Foot Forward.

He holds a degree in politics and development studies from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. (FRSA) Originally from Wales, he now lives in London.
