Juan Nascimbene is a 16-year-old student from Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a youth activist, Juan utilizes his school’s community service programs to explore his passion for making a difference. Through school, he visits the different humble, rural communities around his country with the main focus of raising awareness about the value of education as a way out of poverty. Independent of his school, he also helped establish a group project, which involves setting up of a library and community forum in shelter homes to provide a space for young people to interact and share ideas. Juan believes, “it is only by getting involved in changing our society that youth can show that we are actually the present of this world.”
