Pay no attention to the old man in the corner

The Republican Party is still crazy after all these years. They brought in Alan Keyes to run against Obama in 2004; and now they've chosen Sarah Palin to accomplish what Keyes couldn't. The Republican Party can't find anyone normal to run against that black guy with the Muslim middle name, it seems. McCain wanted Lieberman so they gave him Liber-woman instead.

Both Keyes and Palin belong to the same lunatic fringe of the Republican Party. Both oppose abortion in all cases, including rape. Keyes said in 2004 that Jesus Christ would not vote for Obama; Palin's pastor said the same thing about Kerry that year, but hasn't yet been asked about Obama - as of this writing.

In 2004 it was a mockery of African-Americans for the Party to run someone for Senate who rejected affirmative action and who opposed US sanctions against South African apartheid. In 2008, Republican Party leaders traded in mocking civil rights to mocking feminism. What does it mean to choose Governor Palin - a woman who opposes abortion even for incest victims, a woman who says no woman has the right to choose, a woman who opposes sex education, and a woman who is an avowed creationist? She is reactionary on all fronts - except when it comes to lining her pockets with per diems from her home state.

So much for change: the gender and skin color have changed, but the Republican contempt for American values remains the same.

As usual, you are absolutely right, Dr. Frank!
The mere fact that Sarah Palin's preachings about abstinence haven't worked in HER OWN HOME is the best proof that her "doctrine", aside from misguided, is TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE!
As is the Republican approach to pretty much every issue, from the economy to the "war on terrorism".
What freaks ME out, however, is that after all we've seen in the last 8 years, all the polls show McCain and Obama in a virtual tie!!
WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY??????
Can anybody explain how did 50% of its citizens get a frontal lobotomy?
Is Canada accepting immigrants?

From what I've read about this Jesus guy, he would have been locked up by the repubs long ago were he around today.
It's funny how these repubs always blame Jesus for their hatred and fear.
Even more funny is that Jesus is probably the guy that cuts their grass and fills their water glass.
