K. Emily Bond is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in the Village Voice, New York Magazine, The New York Observer, among other publications. She is currently an editor at a national women's magazine.

Before thumbing her nose at a decent salary and becoming a writer/editor, she worked in international publicity for Discovery Networks International, wrote copy for advertising agencies and hopped around from one odd job to another in film, television and commercial photography.

She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her plants.
