Kalon’s professional background blends brand management, consulting, marketing, technology and business development. In founding Schoolbags for Kids™, he combines his years of experience in the technology and luxury consumer spaces, with his passion for providing access to education for children across the globe. He sits on the Advisory Board for Equal Access, an organization committed to providing critical information to underserved communities in the developing world. Kalon believes that education is the key to a child’s future, regardless of the country she resides in. He is confident that the time is right for socially responsible businesses to flourish.

Kalon received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, with a focus on Marketing and International Business. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego, with a focus on Urban Studies and International Politics. Kalon has traveled to over twenty countries, and studied in both England and Spain. He lives with his wife, Maria in San Francisco.
