There is no need to complain about winter's chill! Grab your gear and head to the slopes for some exhilarating down hill. If you haven't partaken in the pastime, never fear, for the new equipment and ski clothing are all designed for comfort and ease. And what's more, you can look effortlessly chic when you hit the slopes this season, schussing with stylish ski wear.

TIP: Tuck into your pockets a credit card, cash, lipstick or chapstick, cell phone, mints and tissues. Always use the same pockets so you can
find things with your frosty fingers.

Packing for ski holiday can be a challenge with the bulk of a wintery wardrobe. We suggest a large rolling duffle for ski clothing and heavy items. This bag and be shipped ahead of time or checked. Then bring a smaller carry-on bag for your après-ski fashion. Wear your bulky items on the plane to avoid taking space in your bag. Skiing with a helmet is a must for slope-side safety and, for optimum comfort, you may want to own your own. It will pack quite efficiently into your bag by filling it with socks and other small items. You may also want to invest in a good pair of ski boots that are well fitted to your foot and style of skiing. Most resorts will have an excellent selection of skis and poles to rent to save you from hauling yours there. In any case, it is best to call the resort, or check the website for all of the activities and amenities available at your destination.

TIP: It is a good idea to make reservations ahead of time for treatments in the spa, and hot spots for lunch and dinner. Your hotel concierge can help you make your plans, or you can call or email directly.
