A new documentary entitled Blood and Oil has just been released, and it goes a long way to preparing a mindset that will create common ground between left and right, pro-war and antiwar, young and old, Americans and the rest of the world. Narrated by Michael Klare, and based on his 2005 book, Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequences of America's Growing Dependency on Imported Petroleum, this one-hour documentary is a clear, dispassionate and yet riveting history of America and (especially but not only) Middle Eastern oil. I wrote about it here -- and I highly recommend it, now more than ever.

The BOTTOM LINE IS THE BOTTOM LINE. Who gets RICH AND RICHER?
That's your SIMPLE ANSWER to why there's an Iraq INVASION. Big Oil got rich.
Cheney's Halliburton corp and friendly campaign contributor corporations got very rich
providing war services and BEING UNACCOUNTABLE FOR CORRUPTION.
Big Oil gets sweetheart deals on Iraq oil fields which they were lock out of with Saddam.
War Business and private mercenaries got filthy rich. CHENEY WANTS to make tne
invasion PERMANENT. We're stuck with Iraq. Let's make it the 51st STATE OF THE UNION.
I've been saying for years that Iraq is the 51st state, and it's a welfare state.
Thanks for the heads-up, Karen. Always glad to read your posts.
