Karen Porter Sorensen is a performer and author. For the past seven years she has dedicated her life to researching love. Setting up a Love Research booth in public spaces, she entices passing New Yorkers by offering them a single red rose in exchange for responding to five questions about love. To date, she has interviewed hundreds of people from all walks of life. Her collective research has been gathered together into a book titled Love (lǔv) n., published by Adams Media and on sale now at (www.love-research.com) and bookstores everywhere. Karen is a member of OVO, a NY-based arts collective dedicated to creating small art. With OVO, Karen has developed and performed several theatrical presentations of her ongoing Love Research at Collective Unconscious, The Culture Project, and La Tea Theater. Her love findings have also been presented at Art in General, Socrates Sculpture Park, and P.S. 122.
