Brownie Really Wanted His Stiff Margarita BEFORE Katrina

The Washington Post is reporting newly released e-mails show that former FEMA head and current high-price FEMA consultant wanted to resign BEFORE Katrina hit:

"Michael D. Brown was days away from announcing plans to resign as director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency when Hurricane Katrina hit Aug. 29, according to e-mails released by separate House and Senate investigations into the government's flawed response to the disaster."

I agree with the chairman of the Senate investigation Senator Susan M. Collins (R-Maine), who wondered if Brown's status played a role in the response.

"The fact that it appears that Michael Brown was planning to resign may explain in part his curious detachment during the Katrina catastrophe," Collins said.

According to the Post , Brownie is still on the government payroll. What do we have to do to get this guy his parting Margarita? I'll chip in a few bucks to buy him a Margarita at his going away party. Anyone with me?
