Equal Opportunity?

I read two different articles in the newspaper a few weeks ago. The first one was in the business section and it was talking about how difficult it is becoming for hospitals to keep doctors. The pay is not as good and between malpractice payments and lawsuits, the status of the job has dropped so low that it's no longer worth it for a lot of doctors to put up with the crap anymore. The other article I read was in the lifestyles section, and it was talking about how there are now more women in medical school than there are men. So, it seems to me that the more thankless a job gets, the more likely women are to flock to it. With that in mind, I was wondering if Bush has so lowered the status of the presidency that we are finally ready for a woman to do the job.
