She has served as a humble intern at several publications, including Gourmet through the Condé Nast Internship Program. Packing her bags and leaving her Motown suburb, she made the writer's pilgrimage to New York two years ago. She recently left her staff position at Good Housekeeping to accept a role as digital media specialist at Phoenix House, a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities rise above addiction.
