Kathleen Wright is the pen name of a writer, artist, and educator who lives in Pennsylvania and is a political junkie. Wright grew up on a wonderful block, full of love and a strong sense of community, in Harlem; this experience is one of the reasons she is committed to service. A graduate of Wellesley College, she has worked on education issues for many years (both inside the classroom and at nonprofits) and has also volunteered for many causes, most recently to help the survivors of Hurricane Katrina and to promote the importance of emergency preparedness.
