Video: Treating Breast Cancer Survivors... For Many Years

09/13/2009 05:12 am ET | Updated Nov 17, 2011

Anne Moore is an oncologist who specializes in the treatment of breast cancer, often seeing her patients for many years past their diagnosis and treatment.

Survivorship is high, so patients are followed over the long-term, often to allay their fears of recurrence and to monitor their health status.

This follow-up care involves testing and an awareness of particular risks to the patients and other family members who might benefit from prevention strategies.

Anne Moore, MD is Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College and chair of the Breast Cancer Committee at The New York Presbyterian Hospital.
