Huffington Posters: Get off of Bob Novak's back!
Do you liberal, secular, gay, vegan Huffington Posters have nothing better to do than get your recycled hemp panties all up in a bunch over "Plamegate"? Arianna Huffington is having flashbacks and the Wilson-Plames are yelling treason, which makes me think that perhaps they all shared some laced LSD at a recent drum-circle-ing, tofu-eating, Nation-reading, Michael Moore-viewing party. But the most horrific creations coming from the bloggerotti are the specious attacks against a true American hero. Of course, I'm talking about patriot journalist Bob Novak.
Where does Larry C. Johnson get off accusing Bob of being "in bed with Karl Rove" (as if that's a bad place to be, anyway).
How dare Sam Stein question the reliability of Novak's sources and his claim that Hillary Clinton is sitting on "scandalous information" about Obama.
Crazy wing bats are even calling this alleged leak a "Bob Novak trap" he has set in order to pit Democrats against each other. Well, Novak has come forward and revealed his solid source: someone who was "told by an agent of the Clinton campaign" was the person who told Novak about the scandal. So take that, conspiracy theorists! Novak's source is as direct and reliable as they come. Some, if not all, of the best journalism is based on reporters finding out from someone else who was told by someone else that someone else did something.
Of course left wing media's shameless scapegoating of this exemplary journalist is no surprise. We all remember how the liberal media and Joe "Valerie Plame" Wilson (if that really is his name) jumped on Novak when he patriotically exposed the identity of Valerie Plame Wilson. By going after Plame, Novak was blowing the whistle on yet another case of nepotism, string pulling, corruption. I think I speak for all America-lovers when I say that if I have to hear another story about a Washington D.C. insider (Joe Wilson) using his connections (wife Valerie) to get to go on an unpaid fact-finding mission to an impoverished, famine-stricken semi-arid, West African nation to investigate the presence of uranium, I'm going to scream.
Contrary to populist left wing belief, Novak is no "douche-bag of liberty" no "prince of darkness." He is a scrupulous journalist, an American hero, and, most importantly, my hero.

I think I can speak for all freedom loving people everywhere when I say whoever outed Valerie Plame should be given a medal. Of all the unmittigated gall - trying to get to the truth when everybody wanted war. Nice priorities.
In reality, the most offensive thing about the whole affair is that what I said in sarcasm about awarding a medal, John Gibson over at Fox said in all seriousness. Some days, it's all you can do to keep from barfing.
Novak is a stupid man. Why does he have a job. He can't write and his logic is flawed. He doesn't report news. He only spreads smears and propaganda.
Novack was in bed with Karl Rove, and Novack was on TOP.

Yes, who wouldn't love to go on a dream vacation like that, all at the expense of the federal gummint? That's the sort of temptation that makes nepotism so prevalent! Too bad for Wilson that Dick Cheney got wise to his little "junket."
A few things about Bob Novak to consider. He is a paleoconservative in the tradition of Robert Taft whose political views are much closer to Ron Paul than George Bush or any other Reagan wannabees. For years he and his colleague, the late Rowland Evans, wrote a popular syndicated column that was unique in taking on the pro-Israel lobby and opposed US intervention in Middle East affairs, including support for Israel and other collaborative regimes that set the stage for 9/11.
More recently Novak was instrumental in exposing the fallacious assumptions that led to war in Iraq. I recall specifically on the CNN news show "Capital Gang", before the invasion, Novak asserted without equivocation there were no wmds in Iraq and none would be found. Even his liberal colleagues seemed surprised at this assessment. I will never forget what Novak said next, "A war against Iraq is not about making the world safe for democracy but about making the Middle East safe for Israel." Of course, subsequent events
proved him right. BTW, Novak is Jewish but converted to Catholicism.
The problem with Novak is he continues to carry water for an administration he knows is criminally incompetent if not criminally degenerate. I guess like most reporters he sells his soul to get a good story.
Bob Nocracks days are over, thank God. He and Cheney can hang upside down in a cave together.
You don't make jokes about Jesus on the Cross, George Washington crossing the Deleware, Lafayette announcing "We are here", Paul Revere, the Vietnam Veterans Wall, and the sleazy outing of a CIA agent for political partisan reasons.
It is without precedent that a POTUS would stoop so low, damage his country's national security by outing a CIA agent, impune a public servant, lie our beloved nation into war, and damage our prestige around the world with torture of prisoners and spying on his own people. What would you expect from anyone who would dare to criticize veterans or to smear them when he did not even have the courage of his own war convictions to serve?
Do you see him posturing with the wounded, smirking about his war, offering platitudes to the soldiers? All the while demanding the sign up bonues of those who served be prorated to their point of death or injury and returned!
The press in this country has a sacred duty, to keep citizens informed so they may make just and proper decisions about their governance.
Never in the history of this country has any member of the press stepped into the story, twisted his priorities, and eagerly helped spread the lies. There is no such thing as 'fair game' to ethical members of the press. What he did is not funny, and is not taken lightly.
Novack committed a crime. He shamed the Fourth Estate, and prostituted himself.
The whole Bush administration is morally reprehensible, offending all of us equally. Those that have enabled him, Rove, Cheney, Novack, Babs, #41, republican members of congress, even his wife and daughters are all tainted.
NONE of the democrats need Mr. Novack's help.
Years of being lied to by members of the Bush administration, of being subjected to purposeful misrepresentation of facts and unsubstantiated media reporting, is exactly how we ended up in the horrendous and frightening mess the USA is in today. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that...
We are aware of how corrupt and self gratifying many members of the media have become, how they manipulate information in order to serve their own political agenda and professional goals - And how they then cry 'foul' when they are caught...
In view of the facts, is it so surprising that so many citizens distrust Bob Novaks reporting methods and FOX Network sources? Are you serious??
If you believe that Bob Novak is a scrupulous journalist and a hero, then I suggest you set the bar a bit higher...

Actually he is right up Hillary's alley. She is known to plant smears with rightwing journalists and she does it because democrats would never believe she would do so.
They cannot imagine the woman of the rightwing conspiracy would ever go into some deal with the very same people and use them to hide her smearing of fellow democrats.
The same woman who has fundraisers thrown for her by R. murdoch.
Grow up. Hillary is not above doing anything and sinking to new lows to play dirty.
And, she loves to do so with the people who do it best, republicans.
Hillary had that story planted with Novack, knowing how despised he is by democrats, and hoping it go unnoticed much and picked up by the right and fester around damaging Obama. And Obama knew it and called her out on it.
If we want to beat republicans we need to grow up and realize that we have some nasty people in our own party and Hillary is one of them. She will throw a fellow democrat under the bus, like Bill did in the 90s, to get her own way and for her own ends.
Decent satire.
Only problem is that Novak works for the establishment, not just the GOP.
Hence his willingness to aid Hillary's efforts for the nomination.
Assuming he is working against all Democrats ignores that half the Dems have been voting for the Bush agenda as supported by Novak.
Us against them is fine, as long as you recognize that "them" includes the DLC enablers.

Novak is a hack...I will leave him alone when he admits he accepted large bribes from the Bush administration to write the partisan propaganda he did.
This has to be a sarcastic post because no one could be so brain dead as to think Novak a hero.
